
Carol has served as a licensed Property & Casualty Insurance agent of The Miller Financial Group, owned and operated by the Miller family for over 100 years. Carol began her professional insurance career in 1982, leading and managing the agency’s household insurance practice of the Miller family’s independent insurance agency.
During Carol’s early professional insurance career, Carol was an executive assistant to Gary’s father Ray Miller, administering the preparation and issuance of contractor surety bonds for several of the agency’s clients that were active as subcontractors in the artisan construction and building trades.
Since 1985, The Miller Financial Group has been practicing in the historic Ft. Washington and Spring House area of Montgomery County. Situated in the local area are several leading firms such as Merck, Janssen J&J, Lockheed Martin, Abington - Jefferson Health, GlaxoSmithKline, Wyeth Holdings and Quest Diagnostics.
Born and raised at West Point, Carol & Gary met while Gary was a cadet at West Point. Carol and Gary married at West Point upon Gary’s graduation and commissioning in 1974. Gary represents the 3rd Miller generation. Gary’s Grandfather, Ray Miller, Sr. began his professional career in the Life Insurance Industry in 1920, serving over 45 years as a Career Life Insurance Agent with Metropolitan Life Ins. Co.
Carol is a graduate of Cameron University in Lawton, OK earning her BA in 1978 with a teaching certification in secondary education. Their daughter Anne, represents the 4th generation & has been serving in the agency for the past 8 years, as the agency’s Director of Business Development and Social Media.
Carol has been very active in the community. While Gary was assigned for duty in Germany, serving in the US Army, Carol volunteered in their local parish as a lay CCD teacher from 1979 – 1981. Carol also volunteered to serve in leadership on the Parent Teacher Organization PTO during the elementary education of their 3 children in Upper School District from 1984 through 1993. While their 3 children were active in swimming & diving, Carol volunteered as a Swim Team Event Coordinator of the UD Aquatics Club during the academic year and as a Swim Team Parent Volunteer for the Sunny Willow Swim Club Swim Team during the summers.
Carol was as a Co-Chair of the Upper Dublin Community Day with her husband Gary in 1981, which continues today as a very successful community tradition of Upper Dublin Township. Carol and her husband Gary continue to live in Dresher, Upper Dublin Township, Montgomery County, PA where they raised their 3 children, all married with 8 grandchildren.
