Gary’s grandfather, Ray Miller, Sr. began his insurance career at the age of 20 in 1920 as a career life insurance agent with the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. The picture was taken on Easter Day in 1938 in the gardens on the grounds of the Philadelphia Art Museum, with a “Box Camera” made by Eastman Kodak.
In April 1948, at the age of 21, Gary’s Dad, Ray Miller, Jr. began his professional insurance career, operating out of his home in Germantown, PA. Pictured in this photo is Ray pointing to the date of April 4, 1955 when our first insurance agency office was established, located on Old York Rd. in Abington, PA across the street from the present day Abington Memorial hospital.
The Miller Family has served over 100 years in the insurance profession beginning in 1920 with Gary’s grandfather, Ray Miller Sr, a career Metropolitan Life Insurance Agent for 45 years! Gary represents the 3rd generation & started his career in insurance over 39 years ago, joining his father Ray Miller Jr’s long standing and successful insurance practice which was founded in 1948.
Gary is the present agency owner of The Miller Financial Group, which is committed to providing quality insurance products and professional risk management advice for our household and business clientele.
